How appointments are structured and conducted

Please note, all consultations with HGMC practitioners are conducted via Telehealth video-call.

Initial consultation
Your practitioner will chat with you about your health concerns and goals, obtaining a detailed health history. They may organise further testing to ascertain a deeper understanding of your health presentation, and provide preliminary treatment recommendations as appropriate.
Health Care Plan consultation
Upon assessing your health concerns, goals, and test results your practitioner will present you with a comprehensive treatment plan*, and answer any of your questions.
*Comprehensive treatment plans are not always necessary for each patient, however, are a very common element to our appointment structure.
Follow-up care
Follow up consultations are booked as your practitioner recommends (usually every 4-10 weeks during treatment), or at any point you wish to check in with your practitioner. Follow-up consultations allow you and your practitioner to discuss how treatment is progressing, adjusting treatment if necessary, and answer any questions you have.

Email support between consultations
As a courtesy, we offer email communication with our practitioners, allowing patients to send brief emails between visits. We kindly ask that emails are easy to answer with a “yes” or “no”, based upon topics already discussed in a consultation. For complex or urgent questions, we encourage patients to call our clinic or apothecary for assistance, as a consultation may be necessary.
